Eligibility
Determining the eligibility of LIHEAP applicants is important so that grantees can ensure, to the extent possible, that program benefits are provided only to eligible households. Section D of the Tribal Manual contains an entire section related to developing eligibility criteria.
In determining eligibility, grantees generally request the following information from applicants:
