January 21, 2015– The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced today a release of an additional $300 million in funds to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The second funding release, in addition to the previously awarded $3.05 billion in October 2014, brings the LIHEAP funding to a total of $3.35 billion in federal Fiscal Year 2015 to date.
