May 18, 2018 – The C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation’s LIHEAP has remaining funding available for the 2018 season and will continue to accept applications through Thursday, May 31. Households that have already applied as of October 2, 2017 will not be eligible to reapply unless there is a disconnection notice served to that household and crisis assistance is required.
Applicants are reminded to bring proof of all sources of income for the previous 30 days as well as proof of social security numbers for all members of the household and all current energy bills. Documentation requirements for program eligibility determination vary from state to state.
Illinoi’s C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation has approved LIHEAP benefits in Montgomery County for 823 households totaling $384,715. The average payment for each households was $467. 161 households in Montgomery County were also assisted with $83,579 in reconnection assistance. The average reconnection assistance payment was $519.
