LIHEAP Assistance Still Available in TN

May 30, 2019 - The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) in Tennessee is reminding Upper Cumberland region residents that there is still funding available from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to assist with high utility bills.

The UCHRA is still accepting applications, and applicants are reminded to bring required documentation for the application process. Failure to bring the required documentation will delay the process. Required documentation to apply typically includes income verification, social security numbers for each household member over 18 years-of-age and current energy bills.

Qualifying LIHEAP recipients in the Upper Cumberland region receive a one-time utility assistance payment of $350 to $650.

Residents should check with the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency for more information and dates for which applications will be accepted.
