June 5, 2015—The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced yesterday that it had released the final remaining LIHEAP funds appropriated for Fiscal Year 2015. This third and final release was $33.9 million, which followed the previously awarded $3.05 billion in October 2014 and $300 million in January. That brings the total LIHEAP funding for FY 2015 to $3.39 billion. This final release of appropriated funds is available to all state, territory and tribe/tribal organization grantees with complete plans for FY 2015.
