Low-Income Rate Assistance

  • Energy Assistance Program Rate (EAPR) Qualified customers that participate in EAPR will have discounts of 48% on all electricity usage, with a maximum discount cap of $42 per month. The maximum discount includes a $11.50 discount on the $20.30 monthly system infrastructure fixed charge. For customers with wells, the maximum discount is increased to $54 per month.   • Medical Equipment Discount Rate (MED) To qualify for the $15 monthly MED Rate discount, a full-time resident of your household must have a medical requirement certified by a qualified health professional, which is defined as a licensed Doctor of Medicine, Osteopath, Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Physician’s Assistant. The MED Rate covers:
    • In-home dialysis cycler
    • Electric wheelchair
    • Oxygen concentrator
    • Extraordinary heating or air-conditioning needs for people with conditions such as paraplegia, quadriplegia or multiple sclerosis.

Emergency Charitable Assistance

  • EnergyHELP Donated funds are distributed to customers in need through four charities, The Salvation Army, Sacramento Food Bank Services, Travelers Aid and Folsom Cordova Community Partnership.
