August 14, 2020 – The Ohio Home Energy Assistance Summer Crisis Program has been extended until September 30th this year, and additional information is available for participants. The program assists households with utility bills in the summer heat or obtain air conditioning units.
Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Development Services Agency, says that eligibility requirements have also been expanded so more Ohioans can be helped, especially with the health crisis created by COVID-19. Eligible households may receive up to $500 and $800 in utility payment assistance.
